Parishek (also called Kwath Dhara or Sechana) involves pouring a continuous stream or shower of warm herbal decoction (Kwath) over the entire body or a specific body part from a height. The decoction is prepared from anti-inflammatory and detoxifying herbs. This therapy is effective for skin diseases, burning sensations, inflammatory conditions, fever, and Pitta disorders. The herbal stream cools and purifies the body while the herbs penetrate the skin to heal from within.
